Douglas Brooke was founded on the belief that
excellent service and a first class experience should be the Rule - not the
Exception. They took that principle and all of the years of experience from
the President and CEO, Craig Evans, and formed Southwest
Florida's Premiere destination for Beauty, Health, and Wellness.
The name of the company, Douglas Brooke, came from Craig and his wife,
Stephanie's, middle names respectively. His parents, Jerry and Gail, are also
owners and take part in the day to day operations of the company.
Craig has been in the industry for 15 years and has
had a successful career that has taken him all over the country. He started
in Georgia
in 1993 and within two years he was co-owner of his first salon. He honed in
his skills as a hair dresser all the while enjoying the challenges of the
business. He then began working for various salon and spa organizations
throughout the country in many different aspects, ranging from department
mangers to Director of Education for the largest privately held Salon
organization in the world. He has been fortunate enough to work on celebrities,
and see his work on Major Runway Shows and in National Magazine Publications
such as YM Magazine and Cosmopolitan.
Since coming to Fort
Myers, Florida,
Craig and his family have taken his experience and developed Douglas Brooke
Salon and Spa. They opened their doors in August of 2007 and then moved into
their new 3000 Square Foot Facility in April of 2008. Since then they have
opened their second location, which is a new salon concept, and named it
Douglas Brooke Studio Salons. The Studio Salons is a community of salon
owners where each person owns their individual salon and Douglas Brooke
provides them the tools to be successful.
In 2008, they held their Grand Opening which also
doubled as their 1st Annual White Party to benefit The Parkinson's
Association of Southwest Florida. The Companies
vision includes being a vital part of the community in which they live.
Douglas Brooke's desire as a family and as a company
is to help industry professionals reach dreams they never thought were
possible as well as developing a brand that the community recognizes and
associates with quality.
